Wild woman in Australian forest
There is a woman living in the forests of Victoria, Australia who has been camping there for over twenty years. She became sick of society while a teenager and decided to 'get away from it all', becoming almost a hermit and learning many skills that we might all be needing if the price of fuel becomes too expensive to bear and we all have to change the wastful way we lead our lives. Debra has such a wide knowledge of survival skills and what plants to eat etc. that it is a shame to let it all go to waste, so she allows people to camp and travel with her to learn these skills. She is an amazing friendly and helpful lady who is patient and knowledgable. It is not a lifestyle I would voluntarily choose but the times I have met with her she makes it seem easy and comfortable. She has a web site for people who might want to meet her and learn camping and survival skills in Australia: http://www.freewebs.com/wildwoman It is great that she can go fishing or go to the seaside anytime she feels like it with no time pressures or stress. It seems to be a creat casual lifestyle.
