Why not choose to live in Casterton,Australia
Casterton is a small town located in the far Western District of Victoria, Australia. There is not a lot that is special about Casterton, especially for tourists but it is a great little town with probably the friendliest locals around, even the children say hello and chat to adults on the way to and from school.
It is a great place to live and especially to retire to. It has a great hospital, plenty of sporting activities from football and little athletics to lawn bowls and basketball.
Casterton has a population of around 2000 residents, with three schools, a supermarket and heritage buildings for the population to take advantage from. It is situated in a valley with the Glenelg river cutting through the centre of town. The weather is mild and you can grow most of the plants that you can think of except tropical ones.
Work is hard to come by but if you are a tradesman or work from home, you will surely make a good income here. Why not think of moving here? Houses are cheap, there is something for every budget. You can sell your half million dollar city home and buy a house here for under $100,000 and so have plenty of money left over to start your own business here.
Casterton is surrounded by forests, both natural and plantation, and it is only 65 km to get to the nearest city, not too far for commuting if you car pool. What more could you ask for:

Cheap housing
No vandalism
Friendly people
Lovely fishing
Only 100km to the coast
Only 65km to nice cities |
