PhotoImpact - software review PhotoImpact by Ulead is a graphics software program that compares favorably with other top graphics programs like Photoshop in functionality. I have found that it is far easier to use and less expensive than Photoshop but can do just about anything that Photoshop can do. It is very easy to learn and use and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to manipulate photographs, make images and logos etc but does not have the money for a more well known program. A person who just likes to take a few holiday snaps would not really need this software and could get away with the software that comes with their camera or something like Paintshop Pro but someone who has a professional printing, photographic or logo business would find this a very handy alternative to the big programs. I have used Photoshop but keep returning to PhotoImpact for it's ease of use and great effects. The version that I use (10) does sometimes have trouble with big graphics but this may have been fixed in the newer version (12). All in all, this program well suits a serious hobbyist or a proffessional on a budget. Contributor's Note The author runs a professional printing business
